Arrival For your Appointment 

• For your first appointment with me please arrive 10-15 minutes earlier than your scheduled appointment time. This allows time to fill out intake forms, ground, and prepare for the session without rushing. For subsequent sessions, 5 minutes prior to the scheduled starting time is recommended. 

Late arrival Policy 

• Please let me know if you are running late, with proper advance notice I may still be able to accommodate your full or partial appointment. This will be at my discretion.

Cancelation Policy and Fees

• Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you. Should you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify me at least 24 hours in advance so we can ensure a new appointment time that works for us both.

• Regrettably, you will be charged the full amount of your original fee if you fail to inform me 24 hours in advance of your scheduled appointment. 

• Clients can pay for their session in cash, cheque, or venmo, or online by credit card or invoice, either on the day of service or when scheduling via the payment portal online.

No show policy 

• I understand that life happens and there are many unforeseen events that could contribute to cancelling a massage session, however I ask that you call if you cannot make your appointment. Clients who miss their appointments without giving proper advance notice will still unfortunately still be charged in full. 

Informed Consent 

• At your first appointment with Ambika Healing you will be asked to sign the treatment consent form, stating that you have read the information, understand it, and agree to comply with the professional massage therapy policies and procedures. Clients who I have not seen for at least a year may also be asked to fill out this form.

Confidentiality and Conversation 

• I treat all client visits and conditions as confidential. As such, I will not discuss your visit with anybody without your express permission.

• You may choose not to talk during the massage. Conversation will be guided by the client’s direction.

• All information shared with Ambika Healing will remain entirely confidential and protected under HIPAA, unless the client releases the therapist to disclose information in writing, or via court subpoena.

Respect for clients needs and boundaries 

• You may leave as much clothing on as needed for comfort, refuse any massage techniques, and stop the massage at any time - this is your time and your body is sovereign.

• You will always be modestly draped, only the area being massaged will be undraped, and you will be kept informed of the area to be massaged.

• Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is NEVER appropriate and will not be tolerated. 

Covid Protocol 

• As of 04/04/2023 the mask mandate was lifted for health care providers in WA State. Please know that you may now choose whether or not to wear a mask to and during your appointment.

• Vaccination status does not need to be disclosed. 

• If you have any symptoms of illness (including but not limited to fever, coughing, loss of taste or snell, lethargy, or sneezing *other than allergies) please let me know as soon as possible and we can reschedule your appointment to a later date.
